Property Development along the Clyde Enjoys Good Occupancy

The property along the Clyde, which was developed specifically as a place for Glasgow’s creative companies, has seen a rise in its occupancy. With the latest inking of agreement between the area’s developer, Downtown Space, and two firms, the let space in the building has reached the 50% mark.

The new signings have leased office spaces in the Pacific Quay Hub which already houses an impressive number of other companies including Shed Media, the Glasgow School of Art’s Digital Design Studio, SECC, Glasgow Science Centre, Galaxy Scotland radio, BBC Scotland, STV, and Film City Studios and several IT development firms.

Safehinge, a design business and Caboodl, a social media company, are all set to lease 180 sq ft and 450 sq ft of area respectively in the hub. While Safehinge will be renting space for its twin offices, Caboodl will be taking up space for its four employees. The hub will see further reduction in its vacancies come this September when the Digital Design Studio will relocate seventy of its staff members there.

The hub has done remarkably well in this recession given the fact that it will have more than 100 occupants after Digital Design Studio sets up its business in the building. The careful and well considered office planning has resulted in a building which offers modern office design along with hi-tech facilities for all its occupants.

The building is popularly known as the ‘heart of the new Digital Media Quarter’ and is all set to be marketed as the business centre of the whole area. It offers a total area of about 65,000 sq ft with a number of sizes available for office spaces that range from 129 sq ft to 7,922 sq ft.
